Bridge to Equipment

The Bridge to Equipment Program helps provide children with disabilities and developmental delays have access to therapy-related equipment and assistive tools that support communication, mobility, sensory regulation, independence, and participation in daily life. Many children benefit from specialized equipment in addition to therapy services. These tools can help children communicate more effectively, improve mobility and coordination, increase independence, and better participate at home, school, and in the community. Equipment needs vary based on each child’s diagnosis, therapy recommendations, and developmental goals.

Speech Therapy Equipment

Children receiving speech therapy may benefit from equipment and assistive communication tools that support speech, language, feeding, and communication development.

Possible speech therapy equipment may include:

  • iPad Communication Apps

Occupational Therapy Equipment

Children receiving occupational therapy may benefit from equipment that supports sensory regulation, fine motor development, attention, self-care skills, and participation in everyday activities.

The Bridge to Equipment Program helps reduce barriers by supporting children with tools that enhance participation, development, communication and independence.
